Here are some videos of our trainer's dogs performing various basic and advanced obedience skills. Also, make sure to check out our new page of clients' dogs (our client video page is new and still being developed - check back for updates).
Excuse the shoddy camera work please! Our trainer is much better at training dogs than she is at filming and taking pictures! We hope you enjoy the videos.

Dinner time:
- Dinner with multiple dogs does not need to be chaotic nor lead to conflicts.
- Louie helps with clean up, he picks up the bowls after everyone is finished.
Off Leash:
Training a dog to respond to commands when off leash requires time and extensive practice. Two different dogs, each at different levels of training are shown in the videos below. Louie is a mature, smooth collie adult (approx. 5 in the first two videos). Firefly is still an adolescent in the videos shown below, just starting her off leash training.
As you can see from the dogs' happy, relaxed body language, we use lots of positive reinforcement in the form of treats, praise and other things the dogs enjoy. We do not use nor recommend shock collars.

Go to your place:
This basic behavior is very useful for pet owners, can be used to facilitate control with visitors, and to prevent accidental "escapes."
Play time:
- Veronica plays with a "Chase It" squirrel toy as the dogs alternate practicing stays.
- Incorporating training as part of play routines can help build control with distractions. Ken throws the ball while dogs take turns practicing stay.
Puppy Training - Firefly is now a 3 year old dog who has earned an AKC CGC and successfully competed in Rally Obedience. These videos show her training progress when she was a puppy.
Obedience:
- Firefly has competed in Rally Obedience, here she demonstrates a loose leash heel as well as several other commands.
- Firefly demonstrates two different finishes (return to heel)
Service dog skills:
- Monty goes to a room from shuts the door.
- See how Monty closes the door (enthusiastically!).
- Monty closes cabinets
- Phaser was trained a sequence of cues in order to pull open a door
