Puppy Training - Firefly is our trainer's newest puppy. These videos show her training progress as she matures (page is being updated approximately every 2 weeks).

8-weeks

• Firefly, an 8 week old smooth collie puppy learns "sit" and "down" (verbal and visual cues)
• Firefly learns how to come when called (also 8 weeks)
• Firefly practicing with other dogs as distractions (8 weeks)

10-weeks

• Come away from a distraction
• Sit and down and sit from down position with verbal cues only
• "Off" (leave it)

12-weeks

• Another sit, down, sit but this time in a very distracting setting (Old Town Alexandria).
• "Off" - taking it up a notch. Firefly is learning to look up at me away from the treat when cued "off."

14-weeks

• Retrieve games
• Stay-training session

16-weeks

• A stronger stay with some distractions (other dogs, toys and a dog biscuit)
• Drop an object (bully stick) on cue
