Cooperative Paws LLC is a dog training business based in the Town of Vienna, in Northern Virginia. We are a husband and wife team offering customized, private dog training and behavior services. We have been recognized in Northern Virginia Magazine four times and in Washingtonian twice as one of the Washington DC area's best trainers.

Veronica Sanchez M.Ed. CABC, CPDT-KA enjoys helping owners train their pets and address dog behavior problems. Veronica's background in psychology and education combined with extensive hands on experience training dogs to high levels of obedience is unique in this industry. She uses methods that emphasize positive reinforcement as recommended by veterinarians, behaviorists and other experts. Ken Oberle is an approved AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and he handles the administrative aspects of the business and assists in dog training sessions when necessary.

We are members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and currently share our home with three dogs. We have owned dogs and cats from various backgrounds, from local animal shelters, rescue groups, as well as responsible breeders.

Training accomplishments with our personal dogs include:

• Training 7 different dogs to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluation
• Titling in APDT Rally Obedience (RL1)
• Titling in AKC Competition Obedience (CD)
• Competing in disc dog events (canine frisbee)
• Training three different dogs to work as therapy dogs for Fairfax Pets On Wheels and other local organizations
• Training two to work as service dogs
