Cooperative Paws is run by a husband and wife team, Ken Oberle and Veronica Sanchez M.Ed. CPDT, CABC, Ken and Veronica are long time residents of Fairfax County and they enjoy running a business in this vibrant community. They have been recognized in Northern Virginia Magazine and in Washingtonian as one of the Washington DC area's top trainers. They use methods that emphasize positive reinforcement as recommended by behaviorists, veterinarians and other experts. Veronica enjoys helping owners train their pets and address dog behavior problems. Ken handles the administrative aspects of the business and assists in dog training sessions when necessary. Veronica and Ken are members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and currently share their home with four dogs. They have owned dogs and cats from various backgrounds, from local animal shelters, rescue groups, as well as responsible breeders. All of their adult dogs have earned Canine Good Citizen Certificates, one is titled in AKC competition obedience, and several have worked as therapy dogs for Fairfax County Pets on Wheels program.
