Our Certified Professional Dog Trainer offers private dog obedience training and behavior consultations at our convenient Northern Virginia home office in the Town of Vienna. We also offer some sessions at clients' homes in the Washington DC metro area.
Private Dog Training Services

Uniquely, our private puppy training services practice allow for socialization and practice opportunities with our trainer's dogs. We can also introduce your puppy to a safe, low height agility obstacle or two for confidence building. See additional details on our puppy training services.
Dog Obedience Training
Dogs of any age can learn new behaviors, our canine students have been as old as 11 years old.

Methods
Our trainer uses contemporary, science based techniques that are adapted to each pet and owner's needs. She shows dog owners how to train new behaviors using positive reinforcement by using treats, toys and other things the dog enjoys. These are the same techniques recommended by the American Veterinary Society for Animal Behavior.Veronica also emphasizes educating owners on non-confrontational ways to establish a healthy, leadership relationship with their pet and how to create a home environment that is conducive to a calm, happy pet.
Service Area
Most training services are provided at our home office, conveniently located in the Town of Vienna, in Northern Virginia. We are close to the Nutley Street, Route 66 exit and the Vienna metro (just outside the City of Fairfax).
We also offer consultations at client's homes on a limited basis.
Northern Virginia - we offer in-home consults in Arlington, most of Fairfax County including Annandale, Chantilly, Falls Church, Great Falls, McLean, Oakton, Reston, Springfield, Vienna, parts of Centreville and Alexandria including Old Town Alexandria.
Washington DC - Maryland (Bethesda, Chevy Chase) - we see DC and Maryland residents at our Vienna home office. In many cases, appointments at our home office offer unique advantages including the opportunity for client's dogs to practice around other dogs.

Even independent breeds can be trained to perform reliably using reward-based methods. Nacho, our trainer's siberian husky was trained to earn an AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate and work as a therapy dog. Check out videos of our own dog's training skills.
